Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

IJRDO – Journal of History & Geography

Peer review constitutes an essential component of IJRDO – Journal of History & Geography’s publishing process. It helps make sure each article published is clear, trustworthy and meaningful for readers.

Process at a Glance

1 Step 1: Initial editorial screening
2 Step 2: Review by subject experts
3 Step 3: Feedback and revision
4 Step 4: Final editorial decision

How It Works

The editorial team performs an initial basic check of all manuscripts to ensure that they are within the scope of the journal and satisfy general quality requirements. Once this stage has been passed, it is sent to reviewers who have experience in the subject area.

Double-Blind Review: The reviewer does not know who the author is, and the emphasis is on the content rather than the person. This makes the evaluation fair and unbiased.

What Reviewers Look For

  • ● Originality and relevance of the research
  • ● Clarity and structure of the writing
  • ● Accuracy of methods and findings
  • ● Overall contribution to history and geography studies

Feedback and Revisions

The reviewers provide feedback to the authors with suggestions. This is to help fortify the manuscript. The authors should reflect on these comments and suggestions and submit a revised version for consideration.

Final Decision

When the manuscript is revised, the editorial board will review the manuscript again. Depending on its merits, it may be accepted, sent for another round of revisions, or rejected.

Our Approach

"We strive to make the process transparent, equitable and constructive. Peer review is not only about assessing the work - it's about making the article the best it can be"
